HTST means high temperature short time, it is a production process used in ice cream mixing and pasteurization, by quickly heating ice cream mixture to high temperatures, and pasteurizing in a short time to ensure the safety and extend shelf life of ice cream products.

 

Standard configuration of Snowball Machinery® ice cream HTST system

 

· Two pro mixing tanks, with temperature indication

· Two mix filter

· A centrifugal pump that transports the mixture to balance tank

· A balance tank with floater

· A centrifugal pump that transports the mixture to heat exchanger

· A plate heat exchanger (PHE)

· A tubular holding unit

· A homogenizer

· PLC system, used to monitor and control parameters such as temperature, time, pressure and flow rate in heating, cooling and pasteurization processes.

· A liter counter

· Hot water preparation groups, supply hot water for the pasteurizing section of plate heat exchanger, the hot water can be prepared through electricity, gas or steam

· A centrifugal pump that transports hot water to heat exchanger
